France, Paris // March 2011

What do you do when someone tells you they have never been to Paris? You take them there!!!
A few weeks ago I discovered that one of my friends never had been to Paris, so in March we are going a weekend to this city, which is only 2,5 hours from here by train.
It's going to be a real Paris-trip; Eifeltower, Sacre Couer, Notre Dame, Arc de Triophe, Champs Elysees, Centre Pompidou, Trocadero, Montmartre, Pont Neuf, Cité, Place Concorde, here we come!!

Germany, Dusseldorf // May 2011

We all know Wim loves festivals, but there is one festival that is absolute his #1, and that is the Eurovision Song Contest.
Since Germany won the contest last year, they are the organisers of the festival this year, and the hostingcity is Dusseldorf.
Wim will be in this city for a whole week, and I will join him there for the weekend. One of the things I want to visit is the
Zollverein Complex in neighbouring city of Essen.

Indonesia, Java and Bali // Autumn 2011

When the leave are starting to fall from the trees and the storms are blowing over the North Sea it's time for the Big Escape 2011.
The trip starts at Jakarta on the island of Java. From there we will be travelling over land to the east, and ending our trip on the tropical paradise which is called Bali.
Things to see are most likely: the city of Jakarta, the Borobudur,
the city of Yogyakarta, the Prambanan, the vulcan Bromo
, Tanah Lot and plenty of other temples, villages and beaches in Bali and much, much more!!
